Paola Nicole Marizan

Paola Nicole Marizan is the host and producer of the bilingual podcast ¿Qué Pasa, Midwest? She covers local news and culture for the Evansville, Indiana NPR station, WNIN. She produces the station’s first bilingual radio program, designed to keep the Latino community informed about local news and events.

Paola graduated with a BA in journalism from the University of Southern Indiana, where she wrote for the student newspaper, The Shield, where the staff named her “Rookie of the year” and “Reporter of the year”.

Before joining WNIN, Paola was doing translations for a locally-based corporation and for non profit organizations. She has lived in New York City, San Juan, Puerto Rico and San Francisco de Macoris in the Dominican Republic.
